Fun workshops in the great Cass Art Studio space for anyone who would like to get started with urban sketching. A day full of tips and tricks about drawing and painting on location and the materials you can use.
Urban Sketching for the Terrified!
11.30am – 1.30pm
If you are new to sketching or lack confidence to draw in public, this short fun workshop is for you!
Learn how to get started and overcome your fear of ‘the blank page’, and with minimal materials.
You will need a sketchbook (A5 or A4) with paper suitable for watercolour (160gsm+), a pencil (HB or 2B), eraser, fineliner pen with waterproof ink and a basic travel watercolour set with brush or waterbrush.
Sketching Bristol Street Scenes
2.30pm – 4.30pm
Even if you are new to sketching, in this workshop you’ll be amazed at what you can do to capture the impression of a busy street scene in your sketchbook.
You will need a sketchbook (A5 or A4) with paper suitable for watercolour (160gsm+), a pencil (HB or 2B), eraser and a basic travel watercolour set with round brush size 8 or similar.
Places are limited so do book well in advance. You can book your ticket via Eventbrite or by completing the form below. This is a workshop suitable for adults or accompanied children aged 12+

Individual workshops £40 per person or to take your sketching further join both for £60!
